LYO welcomes young performers aged 9-18 who are based in London. No one should be prevented from taking part because of cost, and bursaries are available.

The Experience
Your Autumn with LYO
Every cast member receives a role in a completely new opera, created and performed with a professional orchestra.
- One autumn term
- The full production is rehearsed and performed during the autumn term.
- Sundays and Mondays
- Rehearsals take place in Notting Hill on Sundays from 11:00-14:00 and Mondays from 16:45-19:00.
- Four performances
- The company gives four public performances on the second weekend of December.
- Professional orchestra
- The cast performs the production with professional musicians.
- A completely new score
- Every production begins with a brand-new opera written for young performers.
- Ages 9-18
- LYO welcomes young performers aged 9-18 who are based in London.
- No formal training required
- No previous formal musical training is required to take part.
- Bursaries available
- Bursaries are available so cost is never a barrier to taking part.
